Islam :slashingtongue
Ever since the issue about the Islamic center being built is near ground zero was raised there have been many irrelevant topics being brought up. Just because Obama said that he supports the idea and he is upholding the freedom of religion, people have started to assume that he is a Muslim. You should remember the 9/11 truthers and birthers, right now they are back in the picture. One is claiming about government involvement and the other is claiming that he is a Muslim and is not born in the U.S.

First of all what is the point in talking about where is born when President Obama is coming to the end of his term. Practically, there is not enough evidence to proof and it is already too late to do anything. Even if the birthers are right, there is nothing they can do and what makes them think that the country is going to get better. This is the major problem with the world using religion for politics. Sometimes it is difficult to say who the radicals are. 9/11 truthers are also people have been around for very long time and publishing articles that do not have concrete proof of their claims. How is it that people believe them? People choose to. They find it reasonable but they fail to research on it. I have a simple policy, if I do not know something I either look into it before I acknowledge it or I leave it.

We all know that the Islamic center is going to be built. We also know that there are already many more mosques in the region. It does not feel good when Muslims in the U.S. feel that they are being oppressed while in the Middle East it is vice versa. Can we differentiate them? Are the Muslims in the U.S. different? We do not know for sure. All we can do is watch and assume. I can`t say that I am in support of the Islamic center neither can I say that I am not. It really comes down to the people, if there are people who choose to be radicals than there will be those who will oppose them. It is the way things are. The good, the bad and the ugly, may be a title to a Clint Eastwood movie but it has a strong meaning behind it.

There is one thing I wanted to get off my chest. This is a common line being used by people who support Islam. “Islam is a religion of peace” What? No? There is no such thing as a peaceful religion. All religions one way or another has a form of violence in it. It could be something from sacrificing a living organism, starting wars or even brainwashing people. Remember we do not know that whatever that is being written in the religious book is the actual word of god. We choose to believe it but we do not have to harm others with it. The Quran does have a peaceful side but at the same time there is a violent side. The fact is it just depends on how a Muslim chooses to interpret the “commands” from the Quran. It is also same thing with Christianity or Hinduism or even Buddhism. As adults we coax our offspring to follow what we follow. So where is the so called “freedom”?

The most powerful thing we as human beings have is common sense. It has brought us this far but at the same time when there are people who choose not to use it brings about one question. What is going to be the outcome of the human species?

It could be old news for some or even something that is expected by some. The building of the mosque has already been given a green light long time ago. This was one of the blogs that put up the issue in the past. So what is going to happen? The mosque is going to be built at ground zero. Many more Americans who disagreed are going to get frustrated. Likewise who wanted the mosque to be built and for those who are in support are rejoicing. The whole thing comes down to money; if you have the money you can literally do anything.

The President also stated that he is in support of the mosque being built. What does this means? Well he is gradually losing voters daily. The recent statement he made might have some bad outcomes for him in the upcoming elections. The President might have given a support for ensuring good relationships with the Islamic community in the U.S. and the Middle East. The question also comes down to upholding the freedom of religion but does that mean the people of the United States are willing to accept it? Many comments like “Not all terrorist are Muslims, those who did 9/11 are”. So what does this mean for the American people?

This event has certainly opened up a lot of other issues as well. It is kind of good to see that people are voicing out on both sides. It is also quite surprising to see that both sides who agree and disagree have valid points with evidence to support their claims, well most of it. Why so much bad vibes for this even though there is a freedom to practice religion? It is simply because non-Muslims think that the Muslims are in support of terrorism and the building of the mosque is to signify victory over 9/11. How true is that? Is really Islam promoting violence? What about other religions? The most obvious question comes to why isn`t there any protest against terrorism by Muslims? Even if there is than it is not good enough as people just do not know about it.

The “Cordoba House” will include a mosque, sport facilities and some other recreations to be open to public. Cordoba is a city in Spain which was conquered by Muslims and as a sign of dominance they build the Great Mosque of Cordoba. Have to think for moment about why such a name was picked. According to those who are in charge of the building claim that it is to show the public the Muslims are peaceful and tolerant. What will the real outcome be? There are also similar Islamic communities in certain areas which seem to be pretty unfriendly especially to farmers who have been in those areas much longer. Why the farmers? Well they are farming pigs and typically in any farm in the U.S. there will be dogs. Animals which are useful to us are considered to be filthy to Muslims. Does that mean we need to give in?

his is not a biased discussion. Fact is simple, respect other people`s culture and rights. There are always means and ways to live and survive together but do not use religion as a tool or a weapon to get what you want.

I wanted write something that is happening in Afghanistan but is not really being looked into. Some of you might know about this. In Afghanistan today an ancient tradition has re-emerged, it’s called Bacha Bazi, translated literally as, boy play. Boys, some as young as eleven, are dressed in woman’s clothes, taught to sing and dance for the entertainment of male audiences, and then sold to the highest bidder or traded among the men for sex. The Afghan authorities responsible for stopping these crimes are sometimes themselves complicit in the practice.

This is not only something that happens in Afghanistan but in many middle-east nations. In Iraq you can find young girls young as 4 yrs old doing sexual services to make ends meet. Why pin point the middle-east? They mock the western society on moral issues. Even Muslims who live in western nations have the tenacity to compare western societies to the middle-eastern cultural behaviors. This article is not about Islam but more towards the people.

We all know that slavery is still striving even in developed nations. In fact, it is also known that it is a billion dollar industry. Putting children through forced labor, sexual slavery or even murdering for their organs is only the beginning. As time goes by more and more insidious demands are created and innocent people are exploited. The main issue is that such activities could be happening right next door and we might not know about this.

There are many groups which are striving to put an end to slavery but they are also being threatened. This topic is something that already many people know about. Unfortunately there is also so much we can do. At the very least we should know about some people who make the effort and time to do the right thing. Look below at the youtube videos.

This news might be comical to some; it can also be assuring to some that the bible is true. And some might find a contradiction in this. A group of evangelical explorers who were made up of Chinese and Turkish claimed that they found the “Noah`s Ark” on Monday. They claim that they found it about 4000m up on a Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey. If you think for 1 second that they found the whole ark or even 1/4 of it. Then there are pink unicorns as well.
If you have seen the news or read it on the internet you might have heard of the video release of Pakistani based Taliban militants threatening to attack major American cities. The video is dated early April. Recently, there was an attempt to bomb New York City. Even though the video was discovered after such an incident, the officials claim there was no reference to such attacks.

What’s more to this? Recently France has planned to fine Muslim woman who choose to wear Islamic veil for 150 Euros and if anyone forces any to wear it will face a 1 year jail sentence as well as a hefty fine of 15,000 Euros. Furthermore, it also accused Islamic men of polygamy and radicalism.

Southpark also had an issue with Islam when it animated Mohammed in previous seasons and the recent season it portrayed the prophet wearing a bear costume. They did make fun of Islam as a religion that has the power to be not made fun off. Officially on TV, a Muslim said it is an order from Allah itself to actually kill the non-believers. Even pointing out that it was written in the Quran.

What has this got to do with each other? Islam? Well yes but it’s not only that. The issue is this; people of such a faith who strongly believe in this should try to find a way or a different place to live in. What makes Islam so special? Nothing. They made claims that they discovered big bang theory and also how the earth was shaped. But if that is the case than why is it they are technologically dependent on other countries. I mean such discoveries at that time when mankind was trying to construct buildings and to make life better is truly remarkable. The rest of world would be lead by Islamic countries. So this is just another attempt by the people of Islam?

Seriously, where is the rational and logical part of life? Our left side of the brain is to aid us in making decisions but are these radicals using it? There is nothing wrong in being a Muslim. But it is just sincere feeling that one should keep his or her religion in their place of worship and home. They should bring it down to public place. Other religions have matured over the years and are becoming tolerant of each other. Theist who do not like atheist for their ideas and concepts are now more open minded and tolerant.

Muslims have asked to be left in peace. But do they leave other people in peace? No. I have seen news sometime back when a Muslim man asked a pig farmer to move his pigs away so that he can build an Islamic community. Who the hell do they think they are? But never mind about that there was also a time when Christianity had issues such as the crusade and killing of non-believers. But they grew out of it, because it makes it easier to live they you want rather than going on a rampage.

So are Muslims really being suppressed? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Islam is literally oppressing themselves even without themselves realizing it. They make allot of claims but allot of them are some things they can let go for the sake of integration. Other religions are foregoing allot of traditions just to keep peace with one another. It is not 100% but there isn`t so much problems like how the people of Islam are behaving. Not all Muslims are bad, but where are the good ones? Hiding or being 2 faced. If Islam somehow takes over the world those good Muslims will take that side and if the world rids of radicals than the good Muslims would proclaim that they condemn radicalism and take another side?

The tensions are increasing. Similar events like in France might occur in Belgium and than in the whole European nations. Well we will never know it’s just a matter of time. If people of other faiths get ticked off than it will be a massacre. Violence is not the right approach but sometimes it seems to work well. The easier way to solve such problems is to allow integration and foregoing parts of the religion that might make people of other faiths uneasy. Speak up for freedom and peace not for religion and dictatorship. There is no point in religious leaders claiming to condemn terrorism and radicalism. The people should know better. If such habits continue than it is just sad to know that there will serious problems that might lead to bloodshed.

This is not an anti-Islamic article just something everyone should consider. What do you think?

After our attack on Frank Gaffney a couple of months ago, a similar kind of rubbish has reappeared once again on FOX News. I think it is something that is meant to influence people’s mentality and I am shocked that there is muted rebuttal to the statements made by Reuel Marc Gerecht.

Before I start off, I would like to stress again my belief that there is problem within Islam. Muslims in the world are not taken aback by what is happening in the name of their religion and they think it is some kind of external, international conspiracy against their religion.

Pakistan today has a perfect example. Hundreds of Pakistanis die due to bomb blasts that the Taliban take responsibility for, but they still think that India and Israel are behind them. They are against the terror attacks, but blames RAW and Mossad (Indian and Israeli intelligence).

That paradigm, in my opinion is right, and I think that Muslim communities around the world must stop thinking that the world, or even the West, is against Islam. I think that until the Muslim world realize that, there is not going to be hope of thawing the frosty relationship that is shared between them today.

That being said, what was said by Gerecht is absolutely rubbish. His stand was not as terrible as the one Frank Gaffney had, but there are parts which does insinuate danger. First I would like to state that I agree with Gerecht that there is a threat internally. However, I do not think it is out of control and is that dangerous yet. It is not organized, basically some street punks that have been radicalized. To be fair, he said he didn’t know.

“(We are) taking a little bit too lightly the danger of Islamic militant propaganda in the United States; the extent to which mosques in the United States can reinforce those attitudes, so it is something that requires a lot more effort I think on the part of the bureau.”

We are not taking it lightly, Mr Gerecht. We know that there is a threat. We know that there are mosques in the US do reinforce those attitude. We would support you if you want to do intelligence work on mosques, which is something that is being done.

However, would you do the same for Churches? There are some crazy churches that believe in America being punished for tolerating homosexuality and abortion. There are also cases where Church pastors who encourage discrimination to gays and even, in extreme cases, incite violence. E.g. Pastor Anderson?

Do you think we would have an open door policy with all? I do not think so. I say, get them all! Flag before religion! I say if we penetrate into one, lets penetrate all communities that pose a harm to our citizens or our country.

“Its very difficult for the FBI which is an Intelligence Agency par excellence to actually pursue leads before crimes are committed. In Intelligence, you have to make certain assumptions, they are not nice assumptions that certain individuals may be guilty even though they haven’t committed the crime. You have to engage in surveillance before the crime is committed.”

Wow! Where in the world has this guy been living? Guantanamo Bay? The FBI always pursue leads before crimes are being committed. ALWAYS! They always are in search of things like new drug routes, potential child sex offenders and so on. It is one thing to assume, it is another to discriminate.

Secondly, what in the world is this guy thinking? Is he going to say that we do to the Muslims today what we did to the Japanese in World War 2? He asks for surveillance, I tell you we have surveillance. How do you think the FBI are catching these suspected terrorists? By guessing? Of course they have infiltrated the Muslim community.

A word has to be said about the terrible hosts at FOX. When people say something as controversial as this, you correct them. In this case, the host Paul Gigot himself can make the assertion that the barbarism of Fort Hood as an act of terrorism. Who said so Paul? Where did you get the facts from? Come on!

That being said, I have a certain amount of respect Paul Gigot. And to be fair, Reuel Marc Gerecht is no Frank Gaffmey.
