FOX News : Dangerous perception shown

After our attack on Frank Gaffney a couple of months ago, a similar kind of rubbish has reappeared once again on FOX News. I think it is something that is meant to influence people’s mentality and I am shocked that there is muted rebuttal to the statements made by Reuel Marc Gerecht.

Before I start off, I would like to stress again my belief that there is problem within Islam. Muslims in the world are not taken aback by what is happening in the name of their religion and they think it is some kind of external, international conspiracy against their religion.

Pakistan today has a perfect example. Hundreds of Pakistanis die due to bomb blasts that the Taliban take responsibility for, but they still think that India and Israel are behind them. They are against the terror attacks, but blames RAW and Mossad (Indian and Israeli intelligence).

That paradigm, in my opinion is right, and I think that Muslim communities around the world must stop thinking that the world, or even the West, is against Islam. I think that until the Muslim world realize that, there is not going to be hope of thawing the frosty relationship that is shared between them today.

That being said, what was said by Gerecht is absolutely rubbish. His stand was not as terrible as the one Frank Gaffney had, but there are parts which does insinuate danger. First I would like to state that I agree with Gerecht that there is a threat internally. However, I do not think it is out of control and is that dangerous yet. It is not organized, basically some street punks that have been radicalized. To be fair, he said he didn’t know.

“(We are) taking a little bit too lightly the danger of Islamic militant propaganda in the United States; the extent to which mosques in the United States can reinforce those attitudes, so it is something that requires a lot more effort I think on the part of the bureau.”

We are not taking it lightly, Mr Gerecht. We know that there is a threat. We know that there are mosques in the US do reinforce those attitude. We would support you if you want to do intelligence work on mosques, which is something that is being done.

However, would you do the same for Churches? There are some crazy churches that believe in America being punished for tolerating homosexuality and abortion. There are also cases where Church pastors who encourage discrimination to gays and even, in extreme cases, incite violence. E.g. Pastor Anderson?

Do you think we would have an open door policy with all? I do not think so. I say, get them all! Flag before religion! I say if we penetrate into one, lets penetrate all communities that pose a harm to our citizens or our country.

“Its very difficult for the FBI which is an Intelligence Agency par excellence to actually pursue leads before crimes are committed. In Intelligence, you have to make certain assumptions, they are not nice assumptions that certain individuals may be guilty even though they haven’t committed the crime. You have to engage in surveillance before the crime is committed.”

Wow! Where in the world has this guy been living? Guantanamo Bay? The FBI always pursue leads before crimes are being committed. ALWAYS! They always are in search of things like new drug routes, potential child sex offenders and so on. It is one thing to assume, it is another to discriminate.

Secondly, what in the world is this guy thinking? Is he going to say that we do to the Muslims today what we did to the Japanese in World War 2? He asks for surveillance, I tell you we have surveillance. How do you think the FBI are catching these suspected terrorists? By guessing? Of course they have infiltrated the Muslim community.

A word has to be said about the terrible hosts at FOX. When people say something as controversial as this, you correct them. In this case, the host Paul Gigot himself can make the assertion that the barbarism of Fort Hood as an act of terrorism. Who said so Paul? Where did you get the facts from? Come on!

That being said, I have a certain amount of respect Paul Gigot. And to be fair, Reuel Marc Gerecht is no Frank Gaffmey.

Fort Hood : ST reaction

The team, including me, did not put up an article due to the tragedy that has happened at Fort Hood. I have personally served there and I am sincerely affected by this. If this happened years ago, people I know and me could be dead today.

One of the most difficult thing about this is that we are shot dead by one of us. That is really a double blow. Major Nidal Malik Hasan guy was not a person of lower rank (like me). He was a freaking Major. He entered the service via the medical route, not by the tougher mean courses like most other Officers go through.

Why? Why did he did it? Is it purely hate? Is it due to Imams in America that spread hate like Keith Olbermann and Rush Limbaugh do? Is it due to overseas influence, that has caused radicalism to seep to the person that should be amongst the most patriotic in our country? Or was it something personal. I really question this.

And even in this the crazy conservatives and loony liberals want to take sides. It is almost as if they are playing with our lives for sake of their games. Governor Jesse Ventura said it best. They are all just interested to keep their jobs, rather than to take our stand.

The far right with loons like Michelle Malkin and Debbie Schlussel went all out berating an entire religion. They start stoking the nonsense that is Islamo-phobia. If we allow a religion to be targeted today, tomorrow it could be my religion, your religion or atheists. These people are stoking hate which is no different to Nazi Germany propaganda against the Jews.

At the same time, the far left continues to ignore the fact that America does have a problem with the radicalization of Islam. Add that to the surging radicalism of Christian sects, it is a mixture that is going to lead to explosive disaster.

I think that the problem is not with the Koran or the teaching of Islam, I think it is the mentality of general Muslim thought is the problem. I feel that Muslim leaders are overtly sensitive to criticism of Islam and I think they feel that Islam is being attacked. That is why they react so strongly to a cartoon that went too far, while they say nothing about the Beslan massacre or 9/11. This is the heart of the problem and it must be solved.

I would also like to add that I agree that this may not be the top priority of Americans. I understand that there are many things out there that trouble some Americans more, like the shooting in Orlando, Florida that took place recently. But I hope that the readers understand that this has a personal touch for me.

We also would like to send our condolences to people that are victims of such a great crime.

Ban religion from sport, please!

This article is in immediate relation to the Lake View Fort Oglethorpe saga where there are people that are protesting against on Bible verses being banned from football team’s banners. This is the umpteenth time we state : Religion should be practiced in private only in America!

I agree that we need to have freedom of religion in America. It is a tenet of American greatness and something that we gave the world. It is part of the American dream. We must allow religion to be practiced freely amongst our citizens. I agree with that.

But that does not mean that we can condone it running our state. That is why we separate state and religion. That is why we have the first amendment right, a right that no religion institution would allow. No where in the constitution did is say that America is a Christian nation. We are a secular nation that allows you to practice religion in the manner that you want.

Enough of this already! Lets make it as clear as day that we cannot allow religion to creep into the workplace and schools. No : We cannot allow Muslims to charge extra cab-fares because of some religious obligation that they have. No. We cannot allow kids to say a prayer in their school at the start of the day.

I am not against religion. If Christians wish to wear a cross, let them wear it. Muslims should be able to wear a burka, let them wear it. If Buddhists want to shave their head bald, let them. If Sikhs wants to wear a turban, let them wear it. But these people should not be able to influence us to do what they wish, then there is a problem.

In the case of LFO; there should not be any Biblical verses on their banners. Banners often old the mantra of the team. And I do not want any team mantra to be a religious one. To these people, what if the verses were Quranic rather than Biblical? What if the verses were from the Baghavad Gita or the Buddhist Pitaks?

Look at the reaction. “God would always win.” “God never fails.” “God is with you; who can be against you.”” We’re in God’s hands tonight.” etc. You get the message! When did we become a bunch of religious extremist? Are we going to be like Saudi Arabia where you pay more taxes for not being Muslim? Because that is where I feel we are heading for. We got to stop all these crap man!

Brazil is a country that has a higher percentage of Christianity than our country. But do we see these kinds of crap being said their people? Do we see them going about demanding abortions to be banned? Do they go around saying that this is God’s country? No!

We can choose as Americans. Do we want to go down the path of Saudi Arabia or Brazil? Do we want the path of indoctrination or the path of freedom? As of now, we still have got a choice. Lets ensure we make the right one.

Frank Gaffney hate speech…

For a person that is rarely talked about the media, I think that people might be in shock that Frank Gaffney has is being mentioned again. We stress that this is not a repeat hit at him and is something new..

A couple of days ago we commented of Frank Gaffney’s terrible television appearance on FOX News.. In that piece, he claimed that the problem is that Muslims are adhering to Sharia and it is a “virus that is far more toxic than swine flu”. Sharia to the Muslims is what the 10 commandments are to the Christians. They are forced to believe it.

So that was bad enough. But at the Take America Back Conference, he really upped the hatred. He answered a very simple and over-asked question in such a manner that really stirs trouble. The question was : “I was wondering what you considered (President) Obama’s religion was … if you considered him a Muslim…?”

So what do you think he said? Do you think he answered the manner that Senator McCain did in his Presidential campaign last year? Or did he gave the perfect answer General Colin Powell gave in that same campaign? No.

“If Bill Clinton … was properly called the first Black American President, on that same basis (President) Barack Obama should be called a Muslim American President. I am not saying that he is a Muslim any more than saying Bill Clinton was Black but there is evidence that a lot of Muslims think that he is a Muslim…. he (President Obama) (is) pursuing an agenda that is indistinguishable in important respects from that of the Muslim brotherhood whose mission is… ‘to destroy Western civilization from within….”

Firstly, Muslim brotherhood out to destroy America? Talk about equating all Muslims with Al Qaeda members and terrorists! Aren’t there Christians that think that the Bible and laws of Christianity should be running our country? Aren’t there crazy generals who think that they are fighting for Christ in the Middle East? Can we, because of such people, generalize all Christians as radicals? No! There are crazies in all religions. I would agree that there is a higher concentration of it in the Islamic world, but majority of Muslims are just normal people.

Didn’t he say that President Obama is “pursuing the same agenda” which he stated later as to be “ to destroy Western Civilization from within”. In effect, he is saying that President Obama’s goal is to destroy America and western culture by coming from it. This joker from a think tanks is essentially mentioning an American intentionally becoming President so that he can burn it to the ground!

How in the world is he getting away with this? When will humanity learn to detect hate speech and its danger? We ignored Hitler’s hatred for the Jews and 6 million died. We ignored Hutu hate radio speeches and at least 500 000 died. What Frank Gaffeny said is definitely hate speech in those categories. I even go as far as to say that his loathe for Muslims is as much as Al Qaeda’s hate for America. He is poison and we got to stop it before it escalates.

Republicans have been rubbishing claims of hate speech and said that it is just opposition. Michael Steele even went to call people who see these threats as nut-jobs. It is not opposition when people are claiming that the President is an enemy of the state, not born in the US, inhuman, racist, portrayed as a monkey or a “n****r from Africa”. It is a problem when there are suggestions of a religion out there to destroy America (think Hitler and Judaism), or when coups are suggested. There are also problems if you dream up scenarios of President Obama being assassinated even if you claim not to be violent.

The hate is there and we need to get to the bottom of this. Else America would burn. We, and not the Muslims, would be “destroying America from within.”

FOX and MSNBC are the terrible news networks of America. If we were to make a list of all the screw ups that they make and how partisan their so called “news” is; we would have nothing else to write about. But this really takes the cake. It is really something so irresponsible that it could lead to blood…

Frank Gaffney, a person that believe it or not was actually nominated and worked in the (Presidents) Reagan and Clinton administrations, runs a “think tank” and is, in my opinion, the father of Islamo-phobia.

He is actually a frequent guest on the MSNBC and FOX. Only these two crappy news organizations would have a person like this on. FOX News bans Bill Maher but this guy is okay for them to have! I equate this to President Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust.

This is what he said, “ This (Sharia) is the program that I think we need to be worrying about is the connective tissue between these myriad of attacks.” Does he even know what Sharia is? It is basically the law of Islam. What do you think the Muslim reaction would be?

More proof “ I am saying though that there is this well, virus as you will, a virus that is far more toxic than swine flu. And we are failing to recognize it as such; even though it is actually animating people to believe that Jihad is what God wants them to engage in to the lots of people….:” Wow! Sharia is a virus more toxic than swine flu? Are you kidding me?

What if this was being said about Christians on air? What if there was just one person that said that crazy Evangelism is the disease that is worse than swine flu? What if this message was said or played in volatile regions like South Asia? Do you know how many Hindu Muslim riots has happened in India because of speeches like that? Does he even think of the consequences?

Sharia is the law for the Muslims. It is like the Talmud or the Bible. Of course there are verses in it that sound bad. But they are for Proselytizing. E.g.
“If you eat with a Gentile, it is the same as eating with a dog”–Talmud
“Fight them (non-believers), until all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam.” – Quran
“When the Gentiles worship their Gods, they worship demons.”– Bible

But in the end of the day, there needs to be a person wise enough to decipher them. The people of the three religions above should know that the Earth is not flat despite what is being written as their religious order.

But that is something Frank Gaffney does not understand. He blames the entire legal framework of Islam and rather than the idiots that cannot decipher what is right and what is wrong.

With regards to his point about inmates converting to Jihadi Islam, he should understand that these are the people that Al Qaeda target, not the other way round. As we in Slashing Tongue have mentioned earlier. They already have violent tendencies or are exposed to such thought in prison. Adding in religion would just add the excuse. I think that the state should stop sponsoring religion to these people due to those facts.

Fighting hate with fear and hate is not going to solve the problem, it is going to make it worse. That is the biggest mistake that Frank Gaffney is making. We should not fall into that trap.
