Okay, it is somewhat of a concern that a couple can get so close with the President and the Vice President when they should not have been so. But does it really warrant a congressional hearing? Is this really something that should be in focus?

Yes, it is really worrisome that the Secret Service can screw up so badly. They could allow a couple to just slip in and be near the President. I know that this is going to sound bad, but with a name like Tareq Salahi, which sounds Middle Eastern, shouldn’t this be even more alarming?

If the Government cannot protect the President, how can they protect us? Have the government and other agencies, forgotten about 9/11? Are they sleeping on issues when they come to security? These are some questions that we should be asking as citizens.

That being said, this is really blown out of proportions. For one, it should be an internal issue. It should be an issue between the White House and the Secret Services. Why should we be wasting Congress‘ time on this? Is this what the Constitution states, is this what they are suppose to do; nanny the Secret Service? What next? Are they going to tell the Generals and the Admirals what to do on the battlefield as well?

Come on! This is nothing but an outright publicity stunt by the Salahis. The couple wants to be on a reality television show. The case should not be treated differently from the balloon boy saga, where the couple too want to get their family on a reality program.

So why are the politicians on this story? Simple, they want to get media attention! They are nothing but media whores. This would not be bad publicity for them. It is harmless publicity. But it makes them feel important when they jump on crappy stories like this.

This makes me so mad! We have tons of issues to take care of. Right now, we are shelving talk about illegal immigration and the environment. The excuse from Congress is that they do not have a time, with the economy, the wars and health care being their main concern.

I am sorry, if the Congress does not have time to complete nominations appointments this year, they should not have the time to carry out a publicity stunt like this. It is not a bloody circus. The Congress is suppose to be representing the people, not be the whores of the press.

This is yet another example of why the media in our country is so bad. How many of them would highlight the fact that despite being painted as a far left thinking, 60% of Americans still want the public option? I am one of the 57% of the Independents that want the public option. I have yet to hear it on the news channels. Only the 4 real news media that I point out, AP, AFP, Reuters and C-Span that report this. No, they rather talk about this, Tiger Woods and balloon boy!

As this article is being published, congressional hearing to crashgate has just ended. And sorry it was just a waste out time. And a waste of our money. This is something that need to be fixed, and it needs to be fixed ASAP.
