Ann coulter :slashingtongue

I have never really gotten down hard on Carrie Prajean. I always felt that she was just a media whore, someone like Levi Johnston, who is doing anything for media attention. But after her treatment of Larry King, I think it is time to give her a tongue slashing usually reserved for older hosts.

I do not like the manner that she answered her question, but then I would have disqualified half the women based on the manner the answered their questions. So, yes I am not an expert! Politics is my field, not beauty pageants.

Then she went about opening her mouth saying that she was doing it for God and so on and so forth. She became the darling of the far right. Of course there are the instances of her topless photographs and her masturbation videos, okay. I would not be surprised if it was Carrie Prajean herself that exposed all these leaks to stay in the media. Hey, there is no such thing as bad publicity right.

I always put her as a person that was crying for attention. I put her in the same category as Levi Johnston who is doing the same thing by posing nude for playgirl and throwing dirt at Governor Sarah Palin. They are just attention seeking whores to me.

This incident changed everything. In political commentary, there are many people who could be considered bigots, rude, obnoxious, terrible. These can be from the left like Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher and Rachael Maddow, from the right like Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck or Bill O Reilly or even independents like Governor Ventura, Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader or the people here at ST.

But nobody disses CNN’s Larry King. Anybody would tell you that he is a very soft-ball host. He has been doing this for so many years and I never heard of anybody being pissed off with Larry King. Even people like Bill O Reilly and Rush Limbaugh do not mind him. I am shocked at the manner that she treated Larry King. It is disgraceful.

She began by saying how she is “Palinized” by the far-left media like Keith Olbermann. Okay, that is a fair point. He is really a jacka**. But is there really a double standard as she suggests? Would right-wingers be forced out of the air because of mean words?

Rush Limbaugh supported (supports?) the apartheid government is South Africa in the 90s, he is still on the air. Glenn Beck called President Obama a racist for no damn reason, he is still on the air. Michael Savage in on the air despite his outright racist remarks against Latinos. Governor Sarah Palin is still on the air despite claiming that our President pals with terrorists. So, the idea of there being a double standard is really ridiculous.

Larry King then went to the point where she agreed to settle for some lawsuits that she made. He did not ask what the settlement was, he asked why. Why did she settle? It is a fair question. It is nothing intrusive. Even then he went on for just 30 seconds.

“So you can even say why you settled? I am not asking for what is in the agreement? … So the agreement discusses why each party agreed to settle?” That was basically all Larry King asked! That was it! It was not a tough one. She could have answered that she was tired of everything and wanted it to end quickly etc. Those kinds of excuses are okay, but you can’t tell why you settled?

Because of that, she gave Larry King the ultimate disrespect by taking off her microphone while a viewer was asking her a question. If I were Larry King, I would have freaking exploded. Try doing that to other hosts like Bill O Reilly, Geraldo Riviera, Ann Coulter, Olbermann and see what the reaction would be.

I also hope there was a person she was talking to in the room, because if she was talking to herself, she would really need psychiatric help!

Wow. This is something that you do not really hear so often. The right wing is livid at the fact that there was a lesson plan that asked the question “How can I help the President?”

Are you freaking serious? That is such the huge controversy? Why is President Obama asking them to do, bow before his statue? They say that this is what North Koreans do to their kids. So asking how you can help President Obama is the same as forcing people to dance in synchronization in his honor? Give me a break!

Is this how far down the Republican party has fallen? They have to resort to these kind of nonsenses to make arguments… What has happened to the party of President Eisenhower and Senator John McCain? Have the nuts led by Rush Limbaugh taken over the capable people like Senator McCain, Colin Powell and Chuck Hagel?

It is now obvious that President Obama is being attacked by the Right just for being the President. It is not the policy that they are attacking. There may be a little chance that I may be wrong in this. If I am wrong, then it would be a tragedy for America when one of their two parties has stooped this low.

What makes it worse is that the Democrats are not good either. They still have no backbones despite being gifted with a huge mandate by the people at every branch of government. They are doing absolutely nothing with it. Do not just take my words for it.

Immediately after the elections, there were slightly more Democrats than they were Independents and the Republicans were languishing in the abyss. Current poll figures for the Republicans are still terribly low, with the Democrats too have been losing a lot to the Independents. In fact I make a prediction; Democrats would lost their seats in droves in the House and the Senate. Sadly, this is something I agree with crazy-right-wing-lady Ann Coulter.

Now you guys must be thinking that as an Independent, I should be happy that there are now much more people coming into my camp. But that is not the case so. I would love it when people become Independent because that is what America needs; When they realize that partisan politics has gone way too far and it is time to heal. Not when one side is screwing up while in power, the other jumping and screaming secession as though it is on crack ( Van Jones me Republicans!), and a President that is as quiet as a librarian when he needs to be leading.

Don’t people realize that this is our country that they are talking about? Don’t they realize that Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Keith Olbermann are just a bunch of clowns pandering for their bases? When are we going to have a prim and proper debate in this country? Only for Larry King?

This is particularly true for the Republicans. Lets look at the recent health care debate as a classic example. I have put down so much crap from the Republicans that it often seems that I am for the bill rather than against it. I am against this bill because it is rather fluid and a lot of the details are not set in stone, giving too much power to the Health and Human Services Secretary.

But what is the stuff coming from “my” side of the argument : Death panels, pulling the plug out of grandma, rationing health care, socialism, Hitler care; All of which are nonsense brought up in such bad taste. It is a catastrophe when I have to quote “crazy-left-wing-politician” Barney Frank and ask these people : What freaking planet are they from?

America, we need to solve problems! We have a lot of debt. Our economy has barely turned the corner. Health care is a crisis. Education needs to be looked into. We have got a huge environmental problem. And our teens and kids are not educated enough. We do not need to worry about what the President is telling the kids in a day!

WAKE UP AMERICA, FILTER THE PROPAGANDA!

Finally, the light for the Republican party is shown. It seems to be pushing its way through all the darkness that want to swallow it. But as I said, anybody that write the Republicans off would do so at their peril. And this is a reason why.

This light is General Colin Powell. He is a person that is admired by people all around the world. He has been credited by many around the world for his work in the Gulf War and armies all around the world credit him for transforming logistics to becoming the combat multiplier force that it is today. He is also a person of very demure nature and is very accomplished.

The most important asset of General Powell is his moderate views. He is a person that is conservative but not a neo-con. Other than the “don’t ask don’t tell” law or an incident that happened when he was a Major in the Vietnam war, there is nothing really that liberals can hit on Colin Powell.

Personally, I think that he is the man in American politics to beat. The manner that he conducted himself in the last election cycle was outstanding. I liked the way that he managed to turn the rumor that President Obama was Arabic or Muslim. I liked his stance on torture and on what we should do with the previous administration’s people that tortured, which is also Senator McCain’s view.

But with all this in place, the Republicans are not happy with him at all. For one, many of them accused General Powell of betrayal when he supported President Obama in last year’s election. Many were also not pleased when General Powell voiced his discontent with the scandals in Iraq.

The latest salvo came recently when General Powell, correctly I feel, said that Republicans should not be listening to Rush Limbaugh too much. That drew a barrage of reply from Rush Limabugh and Sean Hannity. Sean Hannity even said that he never heard nothing hateful out of Rush!

There is the far right establishment in the Republican party that needs to be taken down. A perfect example of the far right establishment is the former Vice President Dick Cheney. In fact he has just warned that Republicans should not be veering to the center.

Mistake to be moderate? That is something that I have never heard before. And VP Cheney is not the only person that has gone in that track. People like Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Karl Rove amongst others have gone down this line.

Let me tell you this, Republicans; If you go down that line, expect to lose elections till someone like General Powell and ex-Senator Chuck Hagel to come up to the plate or when the Democrats make the same kind of mistake.

And the former is not that far off from doing the same thing. There are still some reins on to this in the House and the Senate, and by President Obama and his advisors. Have you listened Ed Shultz show recently? “We demand single payer system of health-care now!” That is all the rant that you hear from his show recently. If Democrats make him their Rush, they would be finished too.

Republicans must go down the path of the moderates and quite listening to VP Cheney. Doesn’t anybody tell them VP Cheney exited as the least popular Vice President in history? At least President Bush was more popular than President Hoover. Haven’t they learned their lesson of going too far to the right from the last administration?

Republicans have the wrong Black guy leading the Party. In the time of great crisis and deep trouble as the Republicans are having right now, they need a good leader. You do not need a fat slob yakking away in front of his microphone, you need a General. Many do not come better than General Powell himself.
