The left is saying that the bill would not give cover to the illegal immigrants. The right, led by “the heckler” Representative Joe Wilson, claim otherwise. Even Representative Wilson’s apology did not state that he was wrong on the facts. So who here is telling the truth? As usual, the truth is somewhere down the middle and its crux is not being reported.

On pure content, there is no way that President Obama is lying. He is definitely telling the truth. No where in any of the bills was there a provision that gave any kind of benefits to illegal immigrants. All version of all bills, Republican or Democratic, have provisions to ensure that state that no illegal immigrant should benefit from the bill.

However, there is nothing in any bill, Democratic or Republican, that states the need to show proof that you are a citizen. That is the point that Republicans who oppose the bill point to and thereby would declare that the President is misrepresenting the truth on that ground.

The reason why there is unanimous consent as to why there is no procedure to check is that there would be a lot of bureaucracy. While to get the public option, you need to show some kind of ID or some plans the Social Security number, to verify that, there would have to be some kind of procedure to ensure that your ID is not fake.

The part that neither side would not tell you is that if you are an illegal immigrant, you do not want to be in the public option or buy private insurance. For one, he chances of you being caught would be higher. There is more information that law enforcement can use to track them down and deport them.

Secondly, most illegal immigrants do not have the money to buy health insurance! Don’t they know that these people are basically poor? So what would happen when they go ill is that we end up paying for their health care. Worse off, we then send them to jail before we deport them, losing even more money.

I hope that people see the real quagmire that we are presented with in the case of illegal immigrants. Nobody want to make them pay for anything when it comes to health care, we are not going to do anything about illegal immigration till next year and we are paying for their hospital bills should they get sick. I would like to stress though that I think that a life of a person should be saved whenever they get into hospital, regardless of their nationality. The point I am making is that nothing is being done to solve this problem and the two parties are arguing which one is lying.

I know that this is becoming a habit in my posts where I am stressing again and again that Democrats are dumb politicians. But I really can’t help it. When Republicans lied about pulling the plug out of grandma, death panels, health-care rationing and Van Jones, the Democrats kept quiet stupidly.

But when there was a childish rant at the President, they want to censure Representative Joe Wilson. Don’t they boo all the time whenever President Bush was mentioned in their rallies. Didn’t they boo whenever they disagree with the President Bush the last time round? Come on. Representative was an idiot to have done it; but they would be Democrats, I mean dumb, should they carry out this threat.
