So much talking is going on. So many lives lost. So much money wasted on unnecessary wars. So many people losing control of their lives. Why is this happening? Who is it to be blamed? The UN? The US? China? The Middle East?
Almost everyone has to be blamed. I watched the Iranian president talk at the UN. He made statements without any sort of fear or remorse. Sanctions are not going to deter Iran movements and Iran can withstand the pressure from America as well as its allies. These are very big statements to make.
Remember Muammar al-Gaddafi, the President and dictator of Libya during his UN speech. How he degraded the UN about its laws. Does he even have the rights or status to talk about the UN? Maybe he does. It just shows that UN is so bad till even low lives Gaddafi can speak badly about it.
The UN is not perfect either. The Rwandan Genocide that occurred had nearly 800,000 people massacred over a simple issue of race. The Hutu and the Tutsi. How could this be a UN related fault? During this period a UN General had a tipoff about the Hutus preparation for wiping out the Tutsi. Even though he informed the UN officials about this and wanted permission to have UN troops to stop the attack, the permission was never given. It was like as if the UN wanted the genocide to occur. At the end, UN troops tore the UN blue berets showing their disappointment in it.
People might say “Oh the UN is there to help in time of crisis”, “it helped many people in times of need”. It is really something we all need to look into. Every time something bad happens like the Haiti earthquakes, it was the US forces that were deployed first to aid in the relief effort. Of course, UN was there but they could not control situation. It`s not the UN the problem, it’s the people behind it. Same goes for the US also. It does allot of work to ensure security but at the same time the decisions made literally turn the tables.
The reason for such a comment on UN is simple. Nuclear weapons or weapons of mass destruction, US and Russia do have nuclear capabilities but does that make them responsible nations? That we will never know it something happens. But in the case of Iran, it is not a responsible nation. It is so clear and obvious based on their actions and political views. Look at North Korea, the pressure give from the US made it stop its programs for long range missiles. But did it stop them completely? We will never know because there is no real information given to prove it. There is only a verbal exchange and documents.
If Iran today starts talking like this, imagine the future. Dubai would want nuclear weapons, Iraq too would want it, what about Kuwait? And they will simply ally against US and push it aside. The middle east even though it is still reaching out to the rest of world it still compromises of irresponsible nations. Acquiring nuclear technology for power is just a myth when you really thing about it. For using it as a threat against Israel or maybe against the rest of world, that sounds more relevant.
Fact is this, the UN knows about the intentions of Iran. The US also has the details about it. The question comes down to, what are they waiting for? Something seriously bad to happen? Should more people die? Allot of people do not really know about the nuclear weapons devastation. It is the aftermath that makes hell on earth. I do believe that a country would need some sort of a weapon that can create fear to the opposing nations. But it should be limited, very limited. Laws have to ban certain countries from selling or acquiring it.
I doubt the people in their political seats learn from the past. Look at Hiroshima, Japan, the atomic bomb. A very good example of what nuclear weapons can do. Sometimes you can talk things out but when you know it’s not getting you anyway it is time to take some action.
